- Hi, I am Siddhant S Chordiya from Amravati, India.
- Growing up, I was always a bright student in both school and college.
- However, the CA exams were a harsh reality check for me.
- Here is how I bounced back.
From being a bright student to failing CA
I always ranked at the top of my class and even achieved a score of 96% on my 10th-grade exam.
But it took me three attempts to clear my CA Final exam.
It is difficult to accept failure, especially when you have always been a bright child throughout school and college.
However, CA has given me the LIBERTY to fail to make me stronger.
It has changed a lot of my perspectives and beliefs.
Failure and its effects on parents
At times failure is not only tough on yourself, but also on your parents.
I remember going to my hometown, Amravati, Maharashtra to take my CA Final exams.
The day I reached home I fell ill. I was diagnosed with dengue. I still went in for the exams on medication.
I couldn’t clear it on the first attempt.
The whole world will forget your existence, but will magically remember you on the day of the result.
Luckily, my parents have always been very supportive. But seeing the bright child fail a couple of times can be tough on them too.
On the day of my result, I heard my father crying over the phone. I had never seen him cry. It was devastating.
That acted as a motivating factor for me. I had to bounce back.
I was now mentally stronger to clear.
And on the next attempt I cleared my CA final exam.
My CA experience has taught me
All I want to say to everyone going through a hard time is that it is okay to fail.
Analyze your failures, accept them, and learn.
If you don’t learn from your past mistakes then it’s not worth pursuing anything further.
Have patience and trust in your own ability.
Plan your work and work on your plan.
