EY Director Vaibhav Shrivastava is promoted to Partner in People Advisory Services

Starting his career with ITC

Vaibhav Shrivastava is a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources.

His career began as a summer intern at ITC Limited, an esteemed Indian conglomerate.

During his internship, he was responsible for conducting a feasibility study for setting up a new manufacturing facility in Baddi industrial region, Himachal Pradesh.

Based on the success of his internship, in 2009 Vaibhav was offered a pre-placement offer (PPO) from ITC. He joined the company as an Assistant Manager – Employee Relations in 2009.

In this role, he was responsible for establishing,

  • Fundamental HR framework
  • Processes, and policies for the Greenfield project in Himachal.

Because of his dedication and hard work, in 2010 Vaibhav was promoted to Assistant Manager – HR.

In that role, he managed HR operations for approximately 2500 employees across three factories. He also led the formulation and execution of HR policies and processes and managed employee relations.

Areas of expertise

Vaibhav possesses years of rich industry and consulting experience across multiple HR domains.

He has extensive experience working across emerging markets like Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.

His experience and clientele span different industries including, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Steel, Telecom, Public Sector, Retail, Shipping, BFSI, Engineering, Textiles, Chemicals, and FMCG.

Vaibhav specializes in the following areas:

  • Organization Design and Change Management
  • Job Evaluation
  • Performance Management
  • Compensation and Benefits Design
  • HR Due Diligence
  • Capability Development
  • HR Process Improvement and Policies

From ITC to EY

In 2012, Vaibhav joined the Big 4 firm EY, as a Senior Consultant for Advisory Services.

He has since held the roles of Manager, Senior Manager, and Director.

After 11 years of working with the firm, he was finally promoted to Partner at EY in July 2023.

As a Partner, Vaibhav is responsible for leading and managing EY’s HR consulting practice in India.
