Notable additions to Deloitte’s Advisory Team
Deloitte, one of the Big 4 firms, plans to hire 15 partners and around 130 to 150 professionals from KPMG’s Deal Advisory team.
In particular, Deloitte is bringing on board two KPMG Partners, CA Rohit Berry, who is the National Head of Deal Advisory, and CA Vivek Gupta, who is the National Head of M&A/ PE Tax. They are being hired for their valuable experience and insights in this field.
This hiring move is expected to make Deloitte’s Deal Advisory expertise even stronger.
In December 2022, a top executive at Deloitte told ET (Economic Times) that their approach to M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions) is more than just giving advice on transactions like usual.
They have been concentrating on providing complete M&A solutions.
By adding Rohit Berry and his team, Deloitte expects to improve its ability to handle complex deals, including those involving international transactions and M&A taxes.
Despite Deloitte’s attempt to poach those Partners, KPMG is actively working to keep their Partners from leaving due to the intense competition in the market.
