- Hi, I am Pankaj Goel. I am a chartered accountant, but this journey hasn’t been easy at all as I had to face personal losses before CA Final exam.
- After passing the CPT and IPCC exams I was extremely hopeful that clearing CA Final would be a piece of cake but life had some other plans for me.
- As I was in the last year of my articleship my father passed away leaving me and my mother shattered. And to add to the misery we lost our home and business. Life couldn’t get any worse than this.
- But somewhere inside of me, hope was still there and in spite of all the difficulties, I finally managed to clear my CA Final in May 2017 on the 5th attempt.
CPT & IPCC Journey:
Hailing from Panipat, Haryana I was a bright student in school. Then one day my accounts teacher recommended I opt for CA as a career and I rightly obliged.
I passed my CPT (1st level CA exam) and IPCC (2nd level CA exam) on the 1st attempt itself and was hopeful of clearing CA Final in the same manner. But life had some other plans for me.
Dealing with Personal Loss:
My father passed away in the last year of my articleship. I was shattered. We lost our home, business, and literally everything. Words can’t express the difficulties we faced.
CA Final Journey:
My CA Final 1st attempt was due in May 2015 which I failed miserably. Our financial condition was deteriorating fast but I was still hopeful of passing. Once again I tried and again I failed.
With hopes dimming, it was May 2016 when I cleared CA Final Group – 2 (CA Final has 2 groups, containing 4 papers in each group). That was like a ray of hope from nowhere. I finally managed to clear my CA Final in May 2017 on the 5th attempt.
My Advice to other CA students:
For all those who feel like giving up, I have one thing to say – Do not lose hope and keep on working hard.
