This is an Inspirational Story of Ayush who is a Chartered Accountant student from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Ayush had to miss his CA – IPCC attempt as he fell unwell just before the exams. However, he bounced back and prepared for it again.
Never Give Up is what he tells us.
How Did CA Happen
I was in grade 9 when I heard about CA as a career option and I started taking interest in it. I collected lots of information regarding the CA course. I was a topper in 10th Standard so everyone resisted my decision of doing commerce (It is a conventional thought that Commerce is not for toppers, Science is made for toppers). However I did not want to be an Engineer or a Doctor so I took up Commerce,” says Ayush Juneja from Shahabad, Haryana, India.
CPT Journey & Late in Registering for CPT
After passing 12th standard I thought again about the various career opportunities. I always loved anything to do with numbers so I made a final decision of pursuing CA.
I was not able to register for CA – CPT (1st level CA exam) June attempt as I was late on deciding my career. I missed an attempt that June and registered for the December exam.
Now, there were no coaching institutes in my city so I had to move to Delhi, India for my coaching.
I started preparing for CPT and B.com as well. My CPT exam went well and I scored a cool 182/200 marks in CPT.
I was very happy as it was my first achievement in the journey of CA. Everyone said that u will become a CA very easily but destiny had something else in store for me.
CA IPCC Journey
I suddenly got really unwell and was not able to prepare for my IPCC exam (2nd level CA exam). I also had to leave college due to my illness and return home. It took me 5 months to recover and then I registered for IPCC New syllabus May 18 attempt.
It was really upsetting. I was depressed for a while but I knew being depressed won’t help me. Nothing is going to happen by thinking about the past, it cannot be reversed.
I also thought of quitting but these two words ‘CA’ kept me going. I knew that I could not change my past so I motivated myself and started afresh.
No matter, the challenges which I will face I have only one thing in mind and that is the dream of becoming a CA.
Currently, I am doing my graduation from G.G.D.S.D. College, Sec – 32 c, Chandigarh, Punjab University Chandigarh and along with that preparing for my IPCC May’18 attempt.
