It is an early-stage tech-focused investment firm, that partners with Indian entrepreneurs to solve global-scale problems. The firm invests at pre-seed to pre-series A with typical check sizes of $1-$3M.

EscapeVelocity’s Co-Founder & Managing Partner Shailesh Rao has over two decades of experience in the technology sector. He has been a senior executive at Google, Twitter, and Yodlee (Sequoia, Accel-backed embedded finance platform)

Some of his investments include Moglix, Kristal.ai, Spinny, Omaze, Iterative Scopes, Raena, Ula, Klub, Sun Mobility, BigSpring, Rephrase.ai, Nykaa (Series D; Series E), LivSpace (Series C).

The other Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Madhav Tandan is a seasoned venture investor having spent over 8 years at Omidyar, an Investment company.

He was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments in emerging tech. Prior to that, he spent 7 years in tech investment banking across multiple geographies with Citigroup and Credit Suisse.
