- On 2nd February 2024 the Mahindra Group announced their intention to explore internal job rotations within various businesses.
Effective date
Manoj’s appointment is set to take place on 17th May 2024.

- Manoj will be taking over Kavinder Singh’s position as CEO of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India. The latter decided to take on the next challenge in his professional journey.
- Amarjyoti Barua, the current Executive Vice President overseeing group strategy, is set to succeed Manoj Bhat as the CFO of Mahindra Group.
Professional background
Manoj holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology from IIT Mumbai and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from IIM Bangalore.
1996-2006: Manoj commenced his professional journey at Perot Systems, which Dell subsequently acquired.
2006 – 2011: Moving forward, he joined Tech Mahindra as a Vice President.
2011 – 2013: In 2011 Manoj was promoted to Head of M&A and Corporate Planning
2013 – 2018: Soon he was appointed as Deputy CFO.
2018 – 2021: After 12 years at the company, he finally became the CFO.
2021: He became the Group CFO at Mahindra & Mahindra.
Manoj holds directorship positions in Tech Mahindra, Classic Legends, Smartshift Logistics Solutions, and Mahindra Susten.
Responsibilities over the years
- As a CFO of Tech Mahindra, he was responsible for the Finance and Secretarial functions across 160 subsidiaries and over 90 countries.
- He oversaw various functions like Finance, Corporate Planning & Development, M&A and Strategy.
- As Group CFO, he provided leadership on all aspects related to financial planning & analysis, financial reporting, business planning, tax management, fundraising, and treasury operations.
- Manoj played a key role in major events like Tech Mahindra’s IPO in 2006.
